It is quite obvious that the world will move on to a new technological base, creating a production of the sixth technological tenor in the period from 2025 to 2035. From the standpoint of world experts, this is the only way out of crises system and accumulated contradictions for the world community. There are not more than 10 years left to proceed to immediate preparations of the sixth technological tenor productions. This paper discusses some of the issues and problems that need to be addressed today. Special emphasis is placed on the problem of professional financiers training, those professionals who will have to assume responsibility for the effective spending of the huge funds.

The estimation method of product range dysfunction level for machine-building enterprise is suggested in the article, and the ability to use it when deciding to change the assortment policy is demonstrated. The authors developed the concept of functional marketing for a machine-building enterprise.
